I recently bought this shaker for my 3 month old daughter. While she loves it, I'm not overly impressed with the screws used to hold the main part together. As instructed, I did not immerse the shaker when I first washed it, but ran it under hot water and allowed to dry. The screws have completely rusted without my realizing until the rust got all over my daughters mouth after a chewing session. I would give this product five stars if they changed the screw material to plastic and can be cleaned properly without worrying about corrosion.

We bought this for my 6 month old daughter. This rattle in particular does not have a super loud rattle, but is great for her to gum.
One thing I really like about this one is that I can get down on the floor to play with her and put one end of it in my mouth and hold it with my teeth and shake my head around to make it rattle. She finds it absolutely HILARIOUS and grabs on the other end to try to shake it/me for more sound.
For just four bucks, I don't think you can go wrong. To this daddy, that's a small price to pay for something that can get some quality giggle time.

I bought this O-ball shaker when I bought the also highly rated O-ball for my infant when she was about 3 months old. She doesn't like this shaker as much as the O-ball itself, so I'd recommend to just get the ball. Both of these items are lightweight enough that they don't hurt her when she uncontrollably whacks herself in the face with them, but for whatever reason she doesn't like the shaker anywhere near as much as she does the ball.

We originally purchased the Rhino ball which instantly became her favorite toy. Even before she had great use of her hands she wanted to put it in her mouth. It was funny to watch and a little sad. The original ball is way to big to put in her mouth so she would just stick her tongue through it. The rattle was a great addition because the ends allow her to get a little more in her mouth and has a nice center to grasp. I am very happy with our purchase of the Rhino Rattle.
