I'VE TRIED THE MELISSA AND DOUG ONES. THEY ARE A BIT TOO CLUMSY AND THICK. THESE ARE PERFECT! THICK ENOUGH TO BE STURDY, BUT NOT TOO THICK TO ACTUALLY GET SOME GOOD IMAGINARY PLAYTIME IN. AND THE AMOUNT OF CLOTHING OPTIONS ARE GREAT! HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS OF FUN! WE ALSO LIKE THAT THE BEARS CAN SHARE OUTFITS OR WEAR OUTFITS THAT COORDINATE. LIKE, THERE ARE TWO BALLERINA OUTFITS, TWO DRESS UP COSTUMES, TWO SETS OF POOL WEAR, TWO SETS OF NIGHT WEAR, ETC. FUN FUN FUN!

I bought this toy for my son thinking that there was a girl and a boy bear but they are both girls. He likes playing with it and plays with it for 20 minutes or so at a time several times a day. It has really helped him to understand where the different pieces of clothing go and he enjoys putting together matching sets. I looked at several of these that were designed more towards boys but thought this one would be the best value for the money. The magnets are strong and the clothes stay on the bears even when holding them upright. I really like the wooden box they come in which makes it easier to keep all the small pieces together. It is somewhat tight getting the lid on and off of the box and my son cannot do it by himself. Overall it was a good buy and I will store it if my son gets bored of it for my infant daughter to play with when she's older. The only complaint is that the box it came in does not look the same as the one in the picture. It has fewer compartments and they are all one of two sizes.

My toddler loves dressing these bears. There are a ton of clothes and costumes for two girl bears. I bought this to keep at Grandma's for a fun toy. She has been getting this out every time we have gone to Grandma's for over a year and we go twice a week.

I bought this pocket bear set for my granddaughter. Although she is only 2, it was easy for her to change the outfits. The magnetic pieces stayed on well. I loved the large variety of different clothes and the fact there were two bears, of course she insisted grandma play too. Good value for the money. It came in a nice wood storage box, another plus.

My daughter is much more into animal toys than dolls and loves dress up/costumes so I thought this would be perfect for her. She likes it, but I wish there were a couple of more bears so there would be more characters to play with once they are dressed up in their costumes. She likes this, but it doesn't really keep her attention very long I think for that reason. She just turned three so I'm hoping as she gets a bit older, it might hold her attention longer, that's why I gave it 4 stars rather than 3. For what it is worth, I love that the wooden box has a sliding lid much more practical than the Melissa & Doug puzzles we have that have no covering.
