Just received it, and love the fit and feel of this item. Gives a good grip. Very thick gel material. A little over 1mm thick. This is not a blue gel skin as advertised. In fact it is turquoise. I was prepared that it will not look blue based on all the reviews. Still was surprised that it is no way close to as pictured. I've decided to upload some pictures of the actual item incase you want to know what it looks like, however Amazon won't let me upload my image. For now, the best color to show you is this item. Look at the greenish/blueish label on the bottle that says Seven Seas. Kraft Seven Seas Green Goddess Dressing, 16-Ounce Plastic Bottles (Pack of 6) Please vote if my review helps. Thanks!

From the picture it looks like the Gel Skin is deep blue, but when it arrived I found it more aqua. I really don't like the color, it seems to clash with the green LeapPad2; but my son doesn't care, and it fits the LeapPad2 like a glove.
I was a bit hesitant to order this because it says it fits both the LeapPad and LeapPad 2; I wondered if I was buying the one for the original LeapPad, which also fits the LeapPad2, but not perfectly (which is what we previously had been using). I checked LeapFrog's website before ordering and just hoped it was the right one it was! This Gel Skin lines up perfectly with the LeapPad2.
Overall I'm quite happy with it, though I probably should have purchased the green one. I feel my son's LeapPad is well protected. I definitely recommend one of these if you own this tablet.

I wish I would have ordered the green one, I don't like the color it's more green than it is blue but it's not even a nice green. But it still works just the same and fits the leappad2 great. I don't think my 3 year old son will care about the color when he opens it Christmas morning.

Just ordered this for my son because his favorite color is blue and like the other reviewer stated the picture looks deep blue, but it is an aqua color. I ordered the green for my other son (I wanted 2 different colors so they could easily tell which one was theirs) and I don't want purple, so we will keep it, but wish it was blue.

Amazing price compared to walmart and other sites, sturdy, heavy duty and will definitly keep from getting damaged. would buy again!
