I bought this set as a gift for my daughter's first birthday.

The instruments are pretty rudementary, but colorful and fun.

It's recommended for 12 months +... but the kiddios on the box are obviously much younger.

My daughter enjoys the set, but she would have been kept entertained for much longer stretches if I had bought this sooner.

This is perfect size for our one year old. Very well made. I have seen the same toys sold individually in baby stores like buy buy baby, gymboree etc and buying just two of those (cylinder one and green one) from there will cost you what you pay for all four here. Great deal.
