i bought this for my studies of anatomy. it is a budget model so it defiantly has ridges where the mold was put together, and the wire is sharp in places, but it is well built and sturdy. it has all the minor features, such as tubercles, very visible. i was pleasntly surprised at the level of detail. the exceptions are: the sternum, which is just paint on the cartilage, and the inside of the skull, which lacks some of the smaller foramen and has a big chunk you cant see due to hardware for mounting (it has an option to hang from head). otherwise its great, the arms pronate and supinate. they wired the scapula to the ribs so the movement is limited there. i am considering unwiring it. i read people had trouble putting it together, i cant imagine how, it was very easy. there where small screws and pins that had come undone during shipping, so open carefully. it is however really easy to figure out how to put it back together. pair this with a set of washable markers for indicating origin and insertion and you have an excellent study aide.I had a more expensive, higher quality skeleton that finally gave up the ghost. This version is of a lesser quality and the joints are not as easily moveable, but it suffices for my office needs. The cast iron stand is quite heavy and solid compared to the previous models which were plastic.
