Bought this for a 10 year old aspiring Paleontologist. She LOVES it. It's like Operation but with dinosaur bones. It's definitely the favorite thing she got for Christmas this year. It is maybe a little young for her since she knows all the answers to the questions on the cards already but she really enjoys the pulling the bones out part. Definitely recommend for any kid that has a real interest in dinosaurs.

My 5 yr. old granddaughter really likes the dinosaur world and this really got her attention she played it constantly.

My 4 yr. old loves this game. However, her dexterity is not quite developed enough to use the tweezers to get all the pieces out. After awhile, she gets a little tired of trying (even when on a "successful run") and then resorts to pulling the pieces out with her hands. There is one piece on the board that is so hard that my husband and I have an extremely difficult time getting it out. It does create an opportunity for lot of laughter.

She will also play the game individually. We do not use the cards that came with the game as my daughter would rather just "maniacally" go at the dinosaur

The pieces are small and easily lost so it is important to bag them up immediately after the game is over. I still gave the toy a 4 because my daughter loves to purposely make the dinosaur roar and likes to play with the pieces even without the game (a big mistake on my part because i think we are now missing pieces). .
