This toy is one of those ones you would never think to buy, but kids LOVE. It gets played with constantly.
The round drum thing on the back of the snail has a clear window on one side and a pink door on the other. It lifts off the snail, the snail part and all the shapes can really be forgotten but the CONTAINER, now THAT is really something to a 13-month-old. Open/close/put stuff in/take it out...repeat. The clear window and easy-to-open lid are what make it a winner.
We stumbled on it when a friend loaned us a box of toys for my first child and I scoured the earth to find it. I got one for our next child, and gave it as a gift to another, and it is in constant use.
