When looking at all the available ant farms I decided on this one for a few more dollars because it was listed and described as 8"x8" still small in my mind but big enough for my kids enjoyment. Product was shipped quick BUT is NOT as described! No where near 8"X8" as the description indicates. The box it comes in is 7.5" x 8.5" and the product is more like 4"x5". I can not comment on anything else about it because I didn't keep it. WAY TOO SMALL for me to even try it for my kids. I wouldn't feel right putting more than a few ants in this one so we didn't keep it. Will shop for another one that is big enough.

As a 5th-grade teacher, this is an awesome addition to any classroom. My kids loved to finish their work so they could go look at it. Good for the house if you have young children as well
