We're teaching our daughter to read, and it was really difficult to illustrate that "top" is the same as "stop" just with an extra letter added on the front. These tiles are perfect for that, since we can arrange and re-arrange them, and she gets to participate in the process and sound out the different parts of the word and then join them together. There's a great variety of letters so we're not sorting around to find a "b" or an "r" and we store them in a little plastic container when not in use. Love these.

My 4 year old likes them very much. (of course he likes the box just as much) These are all lower case letters.The entire alphabet is there plus numerous extra letters.

I use this a lot with my sons homework. We build his sight words and sound out words. They work great. I would have given 5 stars but some of the letters are not centered on the tile and sitting low. That is my only complaint but they still work for us.
