My granddaughter was having trouble getting up to speed with her reading. We were asked to work with her over the summer. I found this set and when it arrived she was so excited to start using it. The words are color coded by noun, verb, adjective and so on. This is more than she needs now, but it will be extremely helpful down the road. Right now she is excited about using the board to make sentences and using punctuation. She loves the bright colors and she tries to see how many new sentences she can make.

Her class was just tested for reading ability. Where she was one of the lowest readers at the end of kindergarten, she tested as high average in the beginning of first grade. Very excited!

This toy was given to a friend's daughter who is currently learning her sight words. She is at the perfect age to play school and began playing with it as soon as she recognized what it was. She loves making sentences and pretending to be the teacher, helping others learn their words.
