We have LOTS of Learning Resources toys in our house and have never been disappointed. My son got this set for Christmas and for the most part the quality was superb. The butterfly's wings are very hard plastic (vs the rubbery plastic that the other items are made of) and broke in half the 2nd time he played with them. The company never responded to my email about this which surprised me because the Christmas before last, we contacted them about a missing piece and they sent it immediately no questions asked.
Fortunately, my son couldn't really care less about the broken butterfly as the insects are more fun to have fights with his dinosaurs and other animals. The insects are very realistic looking and are very well put together.

4 stars because as the other reviewers mentioned-the butterfly did break almost immediately but the others are very durable in tiny hands. My kids loved them all. A great buy for kids who are into insects

My 18 month old loves these, he puts them in and out of our plant pots and really likes playing with them. They are pretty big at least I thought so which is perfect.
