I bought this Power Tour Amp to go with the guitar thinking it would be loud. The amp in my opion is really not necessary its more for looks that anything else yeah it lights up but again just for the effects its ok. It really doesn't crank up much louder that the guitar by itself.

The Hasboro amplifier coupled with the guitar made a perfect combo for a 5 year old boy. I must say we all have fun with it. The amplifier has some draw backs but for the price I really can't complain. My first issue is it requires batteries to work. My kids are getting better about remembering to turn things off so I hope we won't be changing batteries often. The other issue isn't a problem just could be a better design it doesn't have a spot for a microphone to plug in. We did try to play music through a MP3 player but you don't want to do that for very long because for sure the batteries will run down.

We bought this guitar and amp for Christmas for our 6 yr old son and now the whole family plays it! Easy and very realstic! The amp works well with any MP3 player and we were surprised with the sound-for such a small item the sound out of the speakers sounds great. Would recommend for any age! Just shop around for the price. Very happy with product!

Being that I bought this amp at th post exchange for only $10 I am extremely happy with it. My six year old wants a guitar and he wanted a boom box so that he could listen to his MP3 player this is perfect for him. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for it. I don't like that it doesn't have an option to plug in the wall with an adapter. He loves it and that'sall thatatters. It isn't too loud but the ligts are very neat. It takes 4 C batteries.

We were so excited when the Hasbro Power Tour Amp arrived. We were anxious for our granddaughter to try it out with her new microphone and stand. Sadly though, the microphone did not work with the amp. The reason we purchased it was because it stated on Amazon that "most purchased this along with microphone." It states on the side of the box that it works with your MP3 player, guitar and many other pieces. Well, it doesn't work with a microphone so don't purchase it for this purpose. We were very happy with the quality and it would have been great had we been able to use both together. Had to return it and it cost us $15 to return and the item was only $17. Will think twice before I order on-line again.
