If your kid has an LeapFrog LeapsterGS Explorer, this is a great addition. You will save on batteries. It is very easy to use. All you need to do is place the battery pack in where you would normally put the batteries, then all you have to do is plug the LeaosterGS in with the included plug, and it charges the battery pack. No need to be wasting money on batteries. It will usually last the same amount of ordinary batteries and you don't need to replace batteries.
It is definitely worth the money, in what you will save in the cost of batteries.

We bought two of these packs one for each child. They work wonderfully and how nice to not be continuously replacing regular batteries. Thanks LeapFrog for quality products; we parents appreciate it.

Honest reviews on LeapFrog LeapsterGS Explorer Recharger Pack
The recharger pack is good investment because it does save a great deal of money on batteries. I love the rechargeable batteries, but the cords are defective. I purchased two recharger packs from amazon that come with the white plug to recharge the batteries. I bought another white leapfrog cord from my local Walmart and they are all the same cord. Two of the three cords have will no longer charge the batteries. I have only had these items since Christmas. I am now using the black cord from the leapfrog explorer charged pack to recharge the batteries.

It does make it easier from not having to change batteries all the time. My child can play it while it's charging and the battery life seems to last longer than regular batteries on a full charge. The down side is the screen keeps freezing almost every time he plays it and I have to shut it off, take the battery pack out and restart it. This did not ever happen when I used regular batteries, don't know if anybody else has had this problem or if I just got a defective battery pack. Overall I would say that this is just ok.
