This camera is very cute. It works well if you have a steady hand...which my almost 3 year does not. However that does not stop him from taking pictures of EVERYTHING!! He really likes the sound effects and has figured out how to turn on and off the flash :) So far I have not put a memory card in it and the batteries are still goodhe got this for Christmas and I really thought I would have replaced the batteries by now. His pictures are blurry, but he is only 2. When myself or my husband takes pictures, the pictures are clear. I am just glad it is durable. He has dropped it and thrown it and it still works! He really likes the ability to have one of the Cars characters in the photo with him. It is a cute option. I have not connected it to my Mac, however the directions say it can be done. I figure when the camera gets full I will load the pictures on my computer. Right now he is just happy taking pictures...and I have saved my digital camera since his looks much cooler!Best Deals for V Tech Disney's Cars - Lightning McQueen Digital Camera
We bought this camera as a christmas gift for our 3 year old son. The camera itself seems well made and durable, and he has enjoyed playing with it. The problem we have is with the wrist strap. It was very frayed, and we are concerned that it may fail. We certainly did not want to send the entire christmas gift back to Amazon for an exchange, so we contacted the manufacturer directly and simply asked for a replacement strap. After several weeks they responded that they did not offer that part for sale individually. This represents poor quality control of the part itself, and poor customer service from the manufacturer, and for this reason we cannot recommend the product.Honest reviews on V Tech Disney's Cars - Lightning McQueen Digital Camera
I bought this camera for my 3 year old for his birthday. He is always stealing my camera so I wanted to get one so he left mine alone. He loves it. It's not super great quality but when the camera is held still, the pictures are not too bad. Nothing you would really want to print out. He's dropped it many times and it has held up well. He even ran in under water "to wash it" and it works fine. Definitely a fun present. It's easy to operate for a 3 year old (he knows how to review his own pictures and switch it back to takng pictures again). I would definitely buy this camera again.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for V Tech Disney's Cars - Lightning McQueen Digital Camera
V Tech Disney's Cars Lightning McQueen Digital CameraBought this camera for my 4 year old grandson. His brother received a real camera for his 9th birthday and the 4 year old wanted one as well. I did not want to spend a large amount of money for this item. Knowing that V Tech has a great rep and having purchased several of their toys for my grandson which have lived up to V Techs excellent reputation, I decided to spend what I consider a pretty decent amount of money (over $50) for this camera. Being aware of the fact that he is very much into Cars characters I concluded that this item was ideal. Not so. My daughter told me that the pictures come out very unclear and you cannot see the subject in the picture because of the quality being so poor. The flash sometimes works and most of the time doesn't. My grandson would be happy continuing to play with this since all he wants to do is take pictures of everything and anything and not caring about what they look like. His mom decided that the amount spent to purchase this item was not conducive to allowing him to keep it considering all the negative (pardon the pun) comments as stated above. I have given him another V Tech camera which is considerably cheaper and hopefully will perform the way it is supposed to based on V Techs excellent reputation. The Cars camera is being returned. I am somewhat surprised after reading the reviews on this item and knowing that V Tech toys are dependable that this particular item was what I consider below the V Tech standard that they have in place for their toys. We did not expect to see pictures that look like they came from a professional photographer but not being able to discern who is in the pictures due to them all coming out blurred is defeating the purpose of what a camera is supposed to do.
