This model, like the animal cell model made by the same company, just rocks. It's a 3D puzzle-type thing, the organelles are removable. You can see everything clearly and the accompanying guide is excellent, if worded a bit strangely. You can tell whoever translated it was not a native English speaker. Makes for some very odd phrases but it's still very understandable and the illustrations are marvelous. The guide along with the model are fantastic tools for teaching the parts of the cell to a small group of students. You can't make much use of a single one of these in front of twenty students, they would never be able to see it. But for a few to work with at once it's great. A drawback is that with a small amount of shaking the organelles can fall out and they are very small. Could lead to losing a piece. So you have to watch these things carefully.

After purchasing the Tedco 4D Science ANIMAL Cell module, I was very impressed and quickly purchased this module as well. I found that this module used a lesser quality plastic in making the organelle pieces and the pieces do not fit as snugly as the do with the animal cell model. I attribute this to probably a bad batch number which was made with cheaper material than was made with the other model. So you take your chance as to which Lot number you will get. Also The clear plastic cover which fits very snug on my Animal Cell version does not fit well on this one, in fact I have thrown the cover off as it is just to much of an issue with it falling off all the time.

I bought this for my science class, and while the product is solid and colorful, the clear front cover will not snap ontherefore the parts inside will not stay in place.

The model arrived very soon and in excellent conditions, it was an order that I made too late and the product arrived really fast. Very good to work with kids but I think that the small pieces could be lost in an easy way. Thanks a lot!!!!

I wanted to like this, I really did. It is very attractive and the pieces seem durable. The problem is that the pieces do not fit together well, particularly the outer wall. Neither me nor my kids (teenagers) were strong enough to snap the pieces together. They did ultimately fit when "dad" snapped them together, but that sort of defeats the purpose of an educational toy. Also, the window would not stay in place at all. The inside pieces kept falling out of place when the model was placed on its stand. I was very disappointed, as I had planned to purchase several of these for my homeschool biology classes.
