This Ant-ospere was very easy to setup. It mimics real ant colonies. The instruction booklet that comes with it, doesn't over-inform children with boring facts. The booklet does have interesting facts and instructions on caring for the ants and the colony.

My kids (4 and 6)are having so much fun observing and learning about ants. We want to get more pods to build on, so we can have a large colony.

The cost was unbelievable.

Great quality product, you actually take care of the ants...feed them, get them water. It's really up to you with how long they live, much better than any other ant farm on the market. Be sure to think of the time of year you're buying the ant farm though, you can collect local ants or buy them online; however, extreme weather conditions will affect availability and shipping.

Best Deals for Wild Science Ant-O-Sphere Starter Set

I bought four (4) Wild Science Ant-O-Sphere Starter Set kits a few months ago as a fun distraction project. I never had the typical ant farm growing up and the price on this made it too interesting to pass up. The individual kit includes one pod and accessory parts for connecting to a current Ant-O-Sphere colony you may already have.

The kit seems fun and well designed, however it can be a bit flimsy at times and for that I deduct one star from the rating. The legs are fine in general, it's just they sit in an open hole rather than a secure hole to give the product better stability.

I think this product is a fun twist on the typical ant farm and I did gift the sets I had to a niece of mine and she was absolutely fascinated with it. My only big complaint with this particular set is the pod is red/opaque. It may be nice for the ants to get less light but it is sure difficult to get a good view of what the ants are up to. It appears to get the clear pods you have to go with a bigger set like the Wild Science Ant-O-Sphere 8-Pods.

This item is absolutely worthless. The ants aren't able to do anything but die. They didn't even use the "cool" tubes that made the product appear fun. I have returned the item and will be getting a good old fashioned ant farm that can actually be used.
