My son is a shark lover, and this kit made a perfect gift! Not only did he get to learn about a bunch of his favorite shark, but he got 5 really nice shark teeth from a variety of species. He really enjoyed reading the fun facts throughout the adventure guide.

when i opened the box, i was appalled to see 5 teensy real sharks teeth that could easily fit into my 4yo's palm plus a large tooth replica. for the money, i felt a bit more substance was warranted. however, my 6yo boys were absolutely enthralled by the authenticity of the teeth, and took out the teeth (especially the replica) again and again to play. 6mos later they still pore over the shark teeth a few times a week marvelling at the different teeth. so while i think i over-paid for this kit, it is definitely unique in its availability (e.g., no trip to the museum required) and play longevity with the kids.

My 6 year old son loves reading about all the sharks in the adventure guide. His favorite part of the kit is the gigantic Megalodon tooth replica, which he plays with all the time. The tooth is absolutely massive...I'm glad those sharks are extinct, if they were still around, I might never go in the ocean again ;-)

My 6 year old son got this for Christmas and loves it. The small teeth are real but the megalodon tooth is a replica (a real one would cost hundreds or thousands). It gives a hands idea of how huge the megalodon really was, hard to appreciate just from reading books. He has taken this to his kindergarten class for show and tell and the other kids were fascinated also.
