I love the boxes, and in fact all items I have bought from Tag Toys. They are solidly built, have nice smooth rounded corners, and stack both inside and on top of each other. I also like that they have different colors inside each box. In addition to using them as stacking/nesting boxes, I also use them as sorting bowls for my son to sort little objects by color.
I have a few minor issues however.
First, Tag Toys is no longer manufacturing the boxes with alternating colors of wood. They are now all the same color (the lighter oak color). Amazon needs to change the picture of the product.
Second, Guidecraft sells a similar set of boxes for half the price, so I was a little upset to find that out. Although I have not compared the two products side by side, I have found Guidecraft items to be high quality. There are also comparable products on Etsy too, so it may be worth shopping around.
Finally, Tag Toys charges high shipping costs, and paired with CA tax, the affordability of their toys is not for the faint of heart. I also found shipping to be very slow (2 weeks+), especially considering the high shipping costs. We recieved this toy as a gift. It was on our wishlist. It is more beautiful than you can tell from the photos. Ours is round, but the same idea. It looks like artists carved it and gave it to my kids with love. Our toddler stacks and sorts, and my baby who is one, likes to put things into each bowl, and put the bowls into each other. I feel like it is a great way for the girls to learn about this kind of thing without having to spill their dinner every chance they get!
