I bought this as a gift for my nephew for his birthday. It was a huge hit. The rest of the day he was running around showing them off. The only cons were that a couple bugs weren't displayed well when put into the plastic and the materials about the bugs that come in the package aren't the greatest for education purposes.

This was purchased for my 9-year-old son and was a big hit. The "bugs" are all in good condition within the resin and are easily examined. You may want to purchase a better magnifying glass, but the magnifier that is included in the package is sufficient for most. The guide could be a little more detailed. I suppose it's another excuse to go to the library! :)
