In general, the toy is OK for my one year old daughter. However, there are some things that could easily be modified to make the toy more manageable and practic. For starters, the green rail was of absolutely no use; maybe it helps younger kids. 2) The purple rocking base needs to be screwed. It thus is not so simple to turn it from rocker to riding toy. A snap-in and -out system would be much easier. 3) The toy comes with one back support for it as a rocker, and another for it as a riding toy, which has an orifice to insert the pushing bar. Again, the parents have to change back supports every time the toy is converted from rocker to riding; and one is a snap-in and the other one needs to be screwed! We ended up not using the one that goes with the rocker. This means two useless pieces permanently stored in the closet: the rail and one back support. Everything would be much easier if they had designed one back support that worked for both modalities. 4) Also, the bar to push it as a cart needs to be screwed too! This is another drawback, as it is impossible to take full advantage of the toy without having to carry a screwdriver in one's pocket all the time. This said, the folding foot-rests are great, as are the characters and music at the front of the toy. I think my daughter will enjoy it (much more than me) for a long time.

This was a hand-me-down and my son received it around 6 months. At that time he was able to use the rocker portion. It was not before long that the rocker was off and he was riding it. He is now 2 1/2 and he STILL likes to ride around on it, though he is a tad big for it.My only complaint with this toy is that it is very loud so we affixed a piece of tape over the speaker holes and it is just fine.

As of the writing of this review, 11/17/11, you can get this toy online at Target for $39.99! PLEASE do NOT pay over one hundred dollars for this. It's a great toy, but not worth that much. Retailers that try to charge so much should be ashamed.
