My 2-yr-old daughter received this item for Christmas. She plays with it daily. At first she used the stamps to black out the screen. A couple weeks later she discovered the stylus could be used to write numbers and letters. Even though none of the scribbles remotely resemble the letters she calls out, she has started writing. This item has furthered her connection between between written letters and the alaphabet more than any other toy. As for care, erasing images is easier if they don't sit overnight. The stamps aren't knocked out easily, but they aren't held in very tightly either.(Prevents the overall 5 star rating.) Good gift to foster creativy. This is also a quiet toy!

Our 28 month-old granddaughter loves to draw. As a typical toddler, she would go through a ream of paper in a sitting, if we let her. With the Doodler, she's fascinated by being able to draw and then erase... and we've saved a lot of paper! My only request would be that the set include more than two stampers. We've cut some other shapes out of skinny business card magnets, but they don't work as well as the ones with a handle. The set is durable and easily totable by a child. All in all, a very good purchase.

I've owned both the Ohio Art Doodle Sketch and the Fischer Price Doodler. I much prefer the Ohio Art Doodle Sketch for one reason: it writes twice as dark as the Fisher Price doodler. To me this is the most important feature of a sketch pad a nice dark, sharp line. Ohio Art's sketcher delivers this head and shoulders above Fisher Price's model.

Great doodler! Big writing space! My daughter loves to draw. She has also learned to identify shapes and letters. Daddy will draw a letter, she will say it, I'll erase and draw another. It's simple but versatile.

I'll catch her just drawing away on it. She is 2 and she has figured out how to erase it and start over. It is a nice supplement to real drawing and coloring. My daughter tends to want to "color" everything. This is good for some "semi-supervised" play.

I expect this toy to last for quite a few years! Very happy with it and Fisher-Price products in general!

I purchased this as a gift for my 3 year old daughter and she loves it. My 2 year old daughter and even my 7 year old son all love to play on this. The opportunities are endless. They draw pictures on it, we play tic tac toe and hangman, we practice writing letters on it, we draw shapes and identify them. This toy never gets old to them. This toy is used multiple times throughout the day. There is hardly a day that goes by that one of the children isn't using it. A great investment!
