If you are an entomologist by trade then you likely know a vendor that can supply these (in various sizes) in bulk. However, this is a hobby for me so 100-pack of pins is great for getting me started with beetles and grasshoppers. I wish a variety pack of some sort was sold, but #2 pins are pretty versatile (if you're not a stickler for proper pinning like me haha). In short, I'm glad I got 'em!

Not sure what I can write that someone might want to be reassured on, but here goes. These pins are pokey and they impale my insect specimen very well. They are quality pins that I will continue to buy as needed.

We use these pins for sewing. They are the best we've found for pinning together delicate fabrics and arranging pleats prior to sewing.

No doubt they're good for insect exhibits as well . . . .
