this is the best purchase I've made from Backyard Safari. I purchased several of their items for my son's birthday: the flashlight, the vest, the set of tools, the binocs and the 3 in 1 compass.
It works with and without a battery and has a built-in stand. I love this toy.

This flashlight was great and my son LOVED it until it broke 3 days later! I would buy it again if they just made the crank part stronger!

I was disappointed in the sender of the flashlight and the look of it. The picture shows green w/yellow(which I expected)I ordered 6 of them and they are all yellow w/black and don`t look at all like the picture. And when I opened the box 2 of them were turned on. So now I have 2 with very low batteries.
Honest reviews on Backyard Safari Flashlight
We bought this as a Christmas present for our three-year old daughter. She loves flashlights and wanted one durable enough to take the beating it would receive. The only complaint we have is that we have to do the winding of the stand to build up the energy for the light, when it is not on battery power. She had not yet developed the strength or coordination to do the lever action of the stand. It is still in the toy box for when she wants to go on an adventure in the dark.
