This toy works as expected and the kids get a big kick out of it. Some of the questions are a bit vague, so some initial adult guidance may be in order. They've dropped it a few times and it still works so that's good. We got it with the bug vacuum by the same manufacturer and it made a nice combo.

This toy is fun and my kids love it. It seems to be holding up fairly well, but I would not trust it to be left outside in a rainstorm. That being said, unless this version is gold-plated or comes with a persoanl entymologist, 89 bucks is a rip-off. This looks identical to mine, which is a Backyard Safari Talking Bug Identifier. I got it for around 30.
