Cheap Como Child Green Geometric Pattern 11 Digits Chinese Abacus
The arithmetic I learned in the first grade using an abacus wasn't surpassed until I was in the fifth grade, so I decided to teach my 6 y/o, second grader how to use one. In a couple of sessions he quickly learned to count on the abacus and perform addition to the level he has attained in school. We need more practice, but I think he will benefit from learning to use the abacus. The question in my mind was whether to buy a Chinese or Japanese abacus, but since I learned on a Chinese abacus, I bought this one. This abacus is perfect size and material for a 6 y/o, plus it is fairly priced. I learned something new too. The Chinese abacus can handle both decimal and hexadecimal math.
