my daughter is 6 months old and developmentaly delayed. She has a hard time holding onto a toy and bringing her hands up in front of her body, and with most toys all she can do is look at them. This toy, however, is very light and easy for her to hold and pull up to her mouth to chew on. It makes a nice little clacking sound which she loves and it holds her interest for a lot longer than other toys do.

The connecting elastic bands are one of the first things my son could grab. He loves to hold on to this. Now that he is teething, the round balls are always in his mouth. I don't know if that's the point of the toy, but he loves loves loves to hold it and gum it.

This thing really opened up my sons interest in toys. It is very easy for little ones to grab on to and hold, even kids as young as 2-3 months. The sliding beads are great, as with each shake they make a noise that my baby thinks is the most entertaining thing since Oprah. By far the best baby toy I have found thus far.
Honest reviews on Skwish Color Burst
After failed attempts with the rubber Sophie Giraffes, I bought this after reading several reviews. I read both positive and negative and see if there is a trend. This toy was so easy for my tiny baby to grasp onto. I was worried that he might choke on the wooden balls but he never did. He is almost 5 months and still LOVES this toy. I put it by his feet in the car seat and it keeps him occupied while traveling. He talks, laughs, and coos while he is playing with it.

My four month old daughter loves this thing. She can get her little fingers around the dowels and it is easy for her to play with because it is so light.
