The buttons to make this violin work are not intuitive. You can't remember which button produces actual songs v. just notes when you play. The buttons don't seem to always work. It is just too complicated for a 3 year old to use. Maybe older kids would have more fun trying to figure it out. It is also difficult overall to manipulate. But, I like it better than some other versions of violins we have tried. Also, the music is not at all annoying to listen to, which is nice. It is not my son's first choice when he plays with his instruments.

My Daughter received this for a Christmas gift. 4 days later it does not work. We have changed the batteries and it still does not work. Not happy at all.

Violin is sturdy and good size for toddler it has a variety of songs and music that plays with the push of a button and also buttons for finger placement while bowing. My granddaughter became interested in violins after watching an Elmo video.

Our twin 2 year old boys love it! They go to bed and wake up with it. It's perfect to hear violin melodies and learn the strings without breaking them (there are none!). It also appears durable at this time (it's only been a week).
