Awesome microscope. Note that it does not come with the pictured light attachment (which is what I expected when purchasing it). The "2 count" on the picture means that it comes in two boxes. It takes up a lot of table room. The whole construction is very heavy, which makes it a bit of work to raise and lower the entire top half connected to the center bar (but at least it is possible!).

I love being able to swing/push the microscope head out of the way when not in use. A bit of force is required when trying to to extend/contract the boom stand, before it starts moving, so I have to be careful when doing so while looking through the eye pieces so that I don't give myself a black eye or two.

This scope is my second. After using the first, a fixed zoom, I sold it at cost. This variable zoom is clear and a good value. I purchase the .5 barlow lens to extend the working distance to 6+ inches. buy with confidence.
