I purchased two of these meteorites and received them very quickly. They are both sizable specimens about the size of the end of my thumb. They are nickel iron from an Argentina fall. I was quite pleased with them. They are educational but definitely not a toy. There are several fine books about meteorites available on Amazon and I highly reccommend buying at least one of them to fully appreciate what you have bought. I have seen larger meteorites for sale, however, they are very much more expensive. Some meteorites are stoney or stoney iron, but I believe the nickel iron ones are more attractive because of the ablation marks or the stripping away of the metal due to friction in the atmosphere. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I was hoping the meteorite would come with "papers" or a certificate of authenticity or something along those lines....

Also, I'd have loved it if the meteorite had included more information about its origin both in space and on Earth.

I'm inclined to believe that, in fact, it is a real piece from a 4K + meteor that fell in Argentina, but with no additional information or certificate, I can't help but feel that it could very well be a fake meteorite... But then again, for $20 I can't complain either way...

One more thing, shipping was very fast! I actually received it a couple of days before its estimated arrival, which was a nice surprise.

I used this as a gift in a way that I am sure has not been done before. The piece itself is cool, but I wish the display was a little nicer than it is.
