This is a great learning tool. From the mixed reviews, I was a little unsure of what I would be getting, but took the chance. I'm so glad I did! These are good size samples and they were all in perfect condition. Each is labeled to correspond with the enclosed info sheet. A wonderful hands on science experience that we will be using this year with our home school.

I am a geology major and I needed to work on my rock classification. This is a great product with all the common rock types in order to help with memorization. Great price compared to walking around and trying to collect all these samples myself... lol that would suck! Great if you a hands on learner like I am.

This set contains well-sized samples of rocks and minerals, sure to delight the budding geologist. The samples are numbered rather than labeled with the specimen's name, and the accompanying book identifies them. It arrived on time and as described.

The only reason I didn't give this product five stars is that the manufacturer should really list the specimens in its product description; there are a lot of collections for sale out there, and collectors want to know what they are actually getting so they don't end up with duplicates.
