We've had a lot of fun with these cards. I have no feeling of cramming learning down my kids' throats.

I bought these for my 4-year-old in hopes of her learning a few sight words. Instead, my 2-year-old became interested as her vocabulary increased. I can see her pride as she knows the names of all the items. My older daughter is now 5 and loves the challenge of trying to read these, as well as the safety net of having the pictures right on the other side.

These are well made in a simple print with nice pictures. There are a few items that are confusing for toddler vocabulary (such as "cap" vs "hat", "dog" vs "puppy").

In addition to the animals category pictured, there are clothing items, transporation (bus, plane, etc), common objects (ball, book, etc), colors, and shapes. There are also signs (stop sign, exit, etc) which we've always skipped.

I've bought a number of flashcards for my daughter and this one is the one she and I like the most. I like the fact that they used actual photos of the object rather than artist illustrations. I'll get this for my nephew too.

I once taught a preschool and now use these for my kids. My daughter loves them. THe pictures are clear. Whats great about them is you can use them from the start and all the way up to 3rd grade. My son is in first and he uses them . He uses the back and tries to read it. My daughter uses the front where it has the words and the picture. The are also very steardy unlike other flash cards. great buy

I bought these cards for my toddler and they're not quite age appropriate. There are a lot of street signs. Nicely constructed cards, just not what I needed.

I bought these cards for my 6 month old baby boy. He is now 2 and has known them all for a long time. His vocabulary is off the charts and strangers often are amazed at how well he speaks for his age. I owe it to these cards and reading to him a lot. Kids want to please you and learn, start early.
