This guitar is not just for beginners....it plays much better than 90% of the high end guitars that I have played over my lifetime.
I have never taken the time to write a review with Amazon even though I have purchased many items through them over the years.....until now. This guitar was well worth my review. This was one of the best $99.00 I have ever spent and weather you are a beginner or experienced player on a budget (like me) you can't go wrong. Thank you Fender!!

I've been playing guitar for around 4 years, At first what caught my attention was a fender instrument for 99$, it is somewhat rare to find a quality brand for such low price, I read the only other review and have to say it is 100% accurate, the guitar comes ready to play right out of the box, be careful tuning newbies, it's WAY out of tune (at least for me); it sounds absolutely amazing. The strings are bit too thick for a starter, so I'd recommend switching those to some lighter ones if you are just starting out. I bought mine in sunburst, it's just my new babe, Best 100 bucks I've spent.

I normally don't write reviews, because other people normally are right on about the product (in this case a BEGINNER'S guitar). However I see reviews in which people say they've been playing for forty years, and this is their new favorite guitar and it's up there with thousand dollar guitars such as Martins or Gibsons. It most certainly does not. I ordered the guitar because I wanted a decent acoustic to play. It works for messing around with for a few minutes or so, but it is not a particularly great guitar. If you are halfway serious about guitar, I would recommend a cheap cort guitar. They seem to have much better tone and looks, but they are still just beginner guitars. I have a seagull entourage acoustic-electric and it is my baby. It has wonderful tone and looks, but is quite a bit pricier. The fender fa-100 is for beginners only. Do not believe the reviews that say "best guitar ever". These are unreliable due to severe inexperience, or they are placed by a payed reviewer or Fender themselves. The fa-100 is what I would call a wall-mart guitar. A guitar for those unsure if they will continue to play or not after their first couple of months. If you are really into fender and want one, go buy a classic vibe series electric or a cd-60 acoustic at minimum.

It's been a month since I bought this guitar. I was so excited for it. I have been playing guitar for about 8 years now and I am really disappointed to say that this is the worst guitar I have ever had. I have hardly played it a couple of times since I received it and noticed that it was getting mis-tuned every other time I picked it up. When saw closely I found that the bridge wood is coming out. A very cheap glue has been used. Only about 20 percent of the bridge still remains glued to the guitar. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. If I had known this would be the quality of the material used, I wouldn't have even given a thought to buying it. Overall, I would never ever recommend you to buy this guitar.
