For such a "simple" looking "lab" and for something that is so easy to put together, it is amazing all the projects one can do to demonstrate concepts.We got it two years ago for Christmas but for some reason did not do much with it, but this year my 8 y/o granddaughter and I get it out on a regular basis: circuits for sound effects; lights; and alarms. It only takes two AA batteries and something tells me the batteries will last a long, long time.
I highly recommend this for children at least 8 years of age to introduce them to electricity. By the way, it will complement their science lessons at school.
I was quite surprised how inexpensive this set was. It was a gift, but I am considering get a second set for even more projects.

This is an amazing, educational toy. My husband and I are both EEs. This is an electrical engineer's lego set!! :-) We gave them to our nephew who was in 4th grade at the time. He absolutely loved it! It was all he played with for months. Connections are durable. They look like snap buttons. The instructions are very clear and provide many different circuits to build. This was a great learning experience for all of us together. They have since bought additional sets to challenge him further. I bought this set for my nephew who is 11 and he loves playing with it and setting up different circuits. I think this is a great educational set!
