The specimens were as varied as advertised. However, I was surprised at how small they were. If you look closely at the package depicted, you will notice that it says "Micro Fun" and "Viewing with a microscope". I did not realise this at the time that I was ordering it. However, apart from the size, the rocks were quite interesting and suitable for the project for which I bought it.

They are rocks my daughter loves geology, so I bought rocks. I'm still trying to get over it. :)
Honestly though, she is enjoying the comparison and discovery. I will buy the remaining assortments for her birthday.
If your child is amazed by rocks and geology, these specimens are a good start.
