FLY Through Writing is a fantastic tool to learn to write essays of all types. The only drawback is that it takes a little time and effort to learn how to use the pen. A lot of kids love the novelty of a "computerized" pen, but don't have the patience to learn to use it. Once they do however, this program can be invaluable for brainstorming ideas for school papers. It walks you through every step of writing every kind of essay or story, and it's almost as though it's alive and knows exactly what you're thinking! It responds to everything you write, and it even helps you find better ways to say what you're trying to say. It's a real shame that Leap Frog stopped making this product, because I think kids could really benefit from the homework help it can provide.
