I bought one of these for my 11 year old who is autistic, he loves it. However, my youngest son was under a year old at the time of the purchase, and teething...and he decided that it should belong to him instead. He refused every baby teether we owned! I had to buy him one of these so my older son could have his in peace. I highly recommend this for both uses; special needs kids who need to chew, and older teething babies.

My son is 10 and has CP! He loves these chew stixx and it does wonders for his oral control! Plus, it keeps him from finding other things to chew on that aren't so good!

I really wanted to like this product. We bought it for our 3 year old son who has autism and, at first, he really loved it, especially the square knobby arm. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks of typical use, the square pieces started falling off. It got so bad that we had to completely cut off that section of the device to avoid him choking on crumbling plastic.

We originally had a different type of chewy tube (green, knobby T style) and it lasted nearly a year in perfect condition until it mysteriously disappeared. I guess we'll go back to that style to replace this one.
