This spinner is very stiff and does not spin freely. It takes quite a bit of effort to make it go around twice and for young children the spinner would probably just spin around 1/4 to 1/2 way before stopping. The magnets on the back also does not work on my magnetic white board. The whole spinner just slips off though it does hold fine if you can put it on the side of a filing cabinet, provided you don't try to spin it too hard which unfortunately you almost must do.

When my students do presentations, no one wants to go first. The wheel allows me to put their names on, spin, and whose name comes up goes. Can't accuse me of playing favorites.
