This kit is not only affordable, it's easy to use, and has a ton of information in it. The additional supplies you need to get are easily acquired, and every single experiment in there is worth doing. I haven't had a chance to check out the other kits in this series, but if this one is any indication, I would highly recommend them! My daughter is seven, and we've had a great time together planning, and doing the activities described by the kits. Some are more on the artistic side, some more towards the science, but every one is educational!
