Shape Sorting Caterpillar Review

I bought this shape sorter mainly because its hard to find toys these days that don't include whistles, bells and batteries. The toy is very well made as well as cute. I purchased it for my son's first birthday and he is not quite ready for such a complicated toy... the age for this toy is 18 months I believe. My 3-yr-old toddler loves it though and I know my son will grow into it. The only reason I'm not giving it the full five stars is because the toy would be better if the 'pegs' that hold the shape disks were affixed to the base. They are instead part of the puzzle. That's not necessarily a negative but I think it makes the puzzle a little too complicated for the younger children.

Love this toy! Works great for working on shapes, patterns, and colors. Holds up great to a little boy who can be destructive.
