I was very satisfied with the rocks/minerals I purchased, and more importantly, my grandson loved it! Had fun sorting through the assortment and finding sharks teeth and arrowheads as well as the large variety of rocks and minerals, as promised. Would definitely buy from this seller again!

This is a wonderful learning about rocks and mineral activity s for kids. The description is accurate and the assortment of gemstone rough is great. Some really nice tumbled stones and sharks teeth and arrow head. The kids ( 4 and 5) love it they went through the bag placing the stones onto a tray and sorting them they used the identification sheet to name them.

One reviewer said that if she wanted a bag of gravel she could have gotten it in the driveway. I work with gemstones all the time. I make jewelry,and this kit is wonderful for kids to learn from. no it is not all shiny clean stones but when working with rough stones they are dusty all it takes is putting the stones in a colander rinsing them off also identifying the rough stones can be easier in some cases when wet.

I would recommend this kit to anyone with kids interested in rocks or earth sciences

even the 10 year old was interested in this great for homeschooling . this kit has given this grandma hours a peace and quiet as the kids search through it.

I bought this kit for my God-daughter for Christmas. I wish I would have recorded her reaction! It was priceless! She was thrilled with how much came in it. Her mom was happy that they came in ziplock bags, because with the chaos of Christmas, it helped her keep them safe in one place. She told me "Your the coolest Aunt Cat! I love you!" And promptly went to sorting them all. Even now, after all the excitement of Christmas has faded, it is one of the few things that she still treasures and spends time with often.

Overall, I was really impressed with how many stones came in the kit and how quickly it arrived. And more importantly, it made my God-daughter happy, and that makes me happy!

The packaging is very home made but the rocks where great. The rocks were better then the higher priced more slickly packaged kits. Good educational value. My son loved it.

Sending me a bag of rocks in a ziploc bag is totally unprofessional. I could have gone to my backyard and gottent the same rocks. This was to ge part of a Christmas gift. For the price plus shipping and handling, go to a local store and pay the little extra. I actually did that and paid the same price as I did for these rocks. I will say the paper with the classifications of rocks on it was a nice touch, but very difficult to read.
