I bought these to replace the Old Blue sandblocks in my Music classroom. The kids can hold them easily and love the sound that is created. Recently the kids had to match and instrument to a word in a story for use in a sound story. They chose these sandblocks for the word "Gruff" in "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" because.."It sounds just like the word. It is very gruff!" Such a smart sentence from a First Grader.
