My 10 year old daughter loved this kit. It took her between 45 and 60 minutes to complete it. The box says there are 15 pieces, which there are. However, several of them were attached together so they came out as one. She had a total of 10 separate pieces.

My 6-year-old grandson spent several hours digging out the bones and discussng with me his future as a paleontologist. I was surprised that he was able to put the pieces together to form the skeleton without much help from me. The resulting skeleton is not sturdy enough to play with roughly, but was VERY satisfying to him, because he understood how fragile it was supposed to be. After all, he dug it out of the dirt himself!
