I purchased this for my 6 year old who loves electricity.
Overall this is a great kit. The instructions are generally clear though require a bit of squinting to see how the parts go together properly because the illustrations are small.
The quality of the electrical connections is great though sometimes requiring pushing or turning the connectors to make contact.
The plastic is a bit lighter than Legos requiring one to be carefull when constructing or taking apart.
Overall a great kit and very nicely thought out with good instructions and a great intro primer on electricity.
I'd recommend.
