My 16-month old son LOVES playing with stacking/nesting cups. We have several different sets since they're all a little different. I bought this set since they're square which would be more challenging for him to stack or nest than the round cups we have. He really likes them and is already able to nest some of them. There are 8 of them and they are brightly colored and durable. They also have the alphabet on the bottom so when your child is a bit older, he/she can stack or nest them based on the order of the alphabet.

Nesting blocks, in general, are a must-have... but these are affordable, durable, perfectly sized and very colorful. We nest them, stack them, categorize them by color, take them into the bath... and we talk about colors and shapes, as well as 'big' and 'little', while we play with them.

My daughter is 14 months and I bought her these when she was about 8 or 9 months. She LOVES them more each day!! She loves to take them apart and put them back together. She likes it when we build a tower and she knocks it down. This is one of her favorite toys.

This is one of the first toys my daughter started playing with and at a year old it is still one of her favorites. This is one of those toys moms will want to buy other expecting moms for their showers knowing how valuable it is to have a toy hold their babies interest for so long!! It is also educational... stacking them, pulling them out of each other, colors, banging together to make noise. I love a toy that baby can use imagination and come up with different ways to play with something so simple. Also.. this toy got my daughter crawling..She loves knocking them down after my husband makes a tower out of them. Just stack them up a foot or so ahead of her and it was too much to resist to not try to move forward and knock them all down.
