My daughter loves guitars and we got this for her 9th birthday. It is thin and small compared to a regular guitar, which is nice. It plays 3 songs and is fun to tap and keep the beat. My husband loves it as much as my daughter. A fun/simple alternative to a normal guitar.Best Deals for Wow Wee Paper Jamz Guitar Series II - Style 3
So far the guitar is pretty much on perfect play or freestyle. I am really surprised at how well my 4 yr old daughter is doing on the freestyle. She has definitely paid attention at concerts and videos! And yes, she LOVES her new guitar. As to how well it will stand up, it has been dragged around the house, walked on by the cat and well-loved, and so far so good!
If you have a child into music, you might want to consider one of these guitars for birthday and Christmas presents!

We bought a Paper Jamz and shoulder strap for our daughter's 12th birthday, and she hasn't put it down since her party! It was a good thing we included a pack of AAAs with it, because "Batteries Not Included". I highly suggest that you get a guitar strap for it, because I think after carrying it around all day, your arms would get tired. Also, it's just cool for the kids to add to the "rock star" picture.Considering it's made of paper, don't expect it to last until your kids go to college, but with minimal care, I think it'll last at least as long as any other toy that's well-loved. I suspect that the paper over the "strumming" area will fade over time (based upon the tester Paper Jamz I've seen in stores) but then again, kids seem to have the attention span of squirrels so by the time it's ready for the trash, they'll probably be ready too.
There's only three songs on it, so it's an extra for the parents that there's a headphone plug-in. Even though it's a great song, there's only so many times I can hear "I Love Rock And Roll." I'm pretty sure that there's a "free play" feature, but I haven't been able to get it away from my daughter to really examine it.
All in all, the parental units are happy and our daughter is happy.
