I purchased this telescope for my 4-year-old daughter's pretend pirate play at home. It's a nice, plastic telescope and my daughter is happy that it can actually see things that are far. The only thing is that when you pull the telescope to its full length, the 3 pieces' "fit" is skewed. That only bothers me, doesn't bother my daughter at all and she's having fun with it.

It's sturdy enough that I don't yell "BE CAREFUL!" when my 4 and 5 year old girls play with it, but it's real enough that it's VERY cool. Even though it is plastic and the lenses are not high quality, it works as a telescope. It's a great size for small kids, not "mini" and not cumbersome or heavy. Overall, a great addition to a pirate kit. Would buy again.

Considering the quality, i think its good for a pirate prop. Just dont like how loose it is, it closes and opens even with the slightest move; as hoping it was a bit tougher. Regardless I like it overall and plan on adding some extra things on them-some extra pain and maybe some skull pins :) Cant wait to use it!~
