This globe is eminently satisfactory! The quality is excellent; the finish on the stand is fine; the antique oceans fit my decor far better than the more traditional garish blue. I did not think I would like the illumination but when seen my wife and I both loved it. Kudos to Replogle and to Amazon for the low price!

I bought this last year for my grandson for christmas and he loves it. He's entering the first grade and I'm sure he would be using it quite bit.

The globe is relly nice, lights up, attractive. The stand is a little bulky, but it is better than the pedastal stands that just never seem to tighten up. The way the globe sits on the stand is a little inconvenient because the electric wire for the light hangs down undernear and requires some attention when you turn the globe very much. But all in all, I like it. It's big enough and good for showing the kids where things are. Which is what I got it for.

What a great and fascinating gift for most children, who always seem interested in other countries. I got one as a child myself 63 years ago, which I passed on to one of my children. Countries have appeared and others disappeared, but still the fascination continues. If you want to give something to a child which they will like and treasure all their life, you can't go wrong with this. Our grandson loved it!

I've been looking for a nice, good sized globe for the house for a while and this was perfect. A beautiful piece. Couldn't be happier, especially for the price.
