We had a lot of fun playing... my daughter just turned 5 and we wanted to help prepare her for kindergarten. She enjoyed the challenge but didn't get frustrated. There are several options to play the game so you can change it up which is nice too.

I got this for my three and a half year old. Though pictures on the mat give kids a clue to help find the right tile, they are not always easy to figure out. Still, it is a good center activity that my son enjoys doing.

I bought this to help my daughter learn letter sounds. I use this as a active learning tool with worksheets. For example, if we are focusing on the letters "N, G and K" I will print out supplemental worksheets for those letters to enhance the Lauri Toys Phonics Center. So far we've had a lot of fun practicing phonic awareness.

The set comes with sturdy letter activity mats (double-sided with a different letter on each side). My daughter quickly caught on and has had fun with the active nature of this learning experience.

My only slight disappointment is that the letter pieces are made of foam. I was hoping it was a hard plastic.

Everything still seems sturdy and long-lasting. I imagine this will be passed on to another family when we are done, still in very good condition.

I also like that the box it comes in has a top storage draw for the cards and a bottom storage draw for the letter pieces.
