Review of VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels- Airport Playset

If you have purchased the other Vtech go go smart wheels stations (garage, fire station, safe signal bridge) and are frustrated that they come with no additional tracks, the airport makes up for this.

Pros:

1. Has many tracks that can connect with other Vtceh go go smart wheel stations

2. Comes with a functional airplane that talks and spins on a platform

3. lots of cool colors

4. many ways roads can be connected which helps for creativity and prevents your child from getting bored

5. decorative accessories

Cons:

1. The roads are not very smooth, causing friction

3. You have to buy this toy in order to have tracks for the other stations, so your forced to buy the whole set which is very costly even without the cars

3. I tried connecting the garage, airport and safe signal bridge and I need more tracks. I wish there was a way to connect all three and a I wish they provided a picture that shows how to do that. They could have added more tracks to make connections possible

3. Vtech site is no longer selling this toy.

5. This line is scarce in the market.

My 8-month-old couldn't wait for me to open this box. He love the light-up talking airplane and wanted to get his hands on it. He was a little young to play with the airport in the way it was intended, but he enjoyed pulling the tracks apart to put them in his mouth and carrying the airplane around the house. My older kids (3 & 5 years old) both really enjoy putting the tracks together and finding the SmartPoints that make the airplane talk, play music, or make noises. The love playing with it with their baby brother too; I love that it is a toy they all like playing with together and both of the older boys enjoy helping their baby brother play with it.

The tracks and plane are very sturdy; My baby puts them in his mouth all the time and I have no doubt that they will hold up and still be in good condition when he's old enough to play with it the right way.

My four and five year old sons (Matthew and Andrew) begged for me to open the box immediately and my 8 month old son (Ryan) got excited to climb over the box. The box sat on our butler's pantry for two days before I could bring myself to "tackle" the putting together portion of this toy. After the boys' persistence, I reluctantly agreed to open the box before they left for school. I was surprised when Matthew and Andrew were able to put the play set together without my help. I was even more surprised and pleased that they did so with Ryan grabbing pieces to put in his mouth. I really appreciated that all of the pieces were safe for Ryan to grab and put in his mouth.

The Airport Playset came with one vehicle, a plane. Ryan loved that it made noises and that it was small enough for him to handle. I loved that it came with batteries and the automatic shut-off! The colors and sounds kept my kids' attention for a long time. Matthew and Andrew enjoy playing with the toy and driving it around the 6 "Smart Point" locations that made fun and exciting sounds. At times, Ryan likes to break pieces off of the track but Matthew and Andrew are able to fix it for him. Once again, Vtech produced a great toy for my kids!

Yesterday we received this as a gift for my son's second birthday. He has been unable to stop playing with it for the past 24 hours. He does not want to go to bed without taking the little airplane with him to hold while he sleeps. I have seen many complaining about track for these different sets coming apart, they are made to do that. If you have dealt with a two year old very often, you will find that items that are fixed in place will get broken.

Now that I see how he loves the little airport I will be getting him more of these sets and some VTech Go! Go! Smart WheelsDeluxe Track Set for Christmas!

I was provided with a sample of this product from VTech, however the opinions are 100% my own.

I have 2.5 year old triplets and they absolutely love this toy. It's big enough and has enough to do that all three can play in relative harmony. I purchased the Go Go Smart Wheel Helicopter and Car to go along with the airplane the set comes with.

After watching me snap together the track once, they had it down and can get it out and set everything up themselves.

I love the SmartPoints. At first they were so excited to fly their planes they didn't notice them, but now they repeat everything their vehicle says. When they see a plane in the sky, they tell me "Airplane land Airport" I love that they have taken something they learned from a toy and applied it to real life.
