We received this item as a gift for our daughter and she enjoys it. However, one of the problems I have with this toy is that it's not the best for 6 month olds. The package says ages 6-24 months and I think an older child would enjoy it more. My daughter isn't quite sitting up yet so instead she just kind of pushes it around the room on it's side inadvertadly pushing buttons as she goes. It keeps her entertained for short periods of time. Another issue with it is that I wish it would stand upright better. It is pretty durable from my experience so far though. It took a fall from my daughter's high chair onto our carpet and still works fine.
The automatic shut off feature is nice too, no wasted batteries. The volume adjustment is a good touch as well since my daughter doesn't need to have her toys heard on the other side of the house when she's only inches away.
I'd reccomend this product to children who are closer to 12 months old.

My daughter (1.5 years) absolutely loves this toy! She can easily activate it on her own, and loves the spinning action and music.

I had purchased this product for my God Son, he has been enjoying it ever since he had received it as a gift from me. I had also purchased one about a year ago for my nephew who has played it a lot aw well, not it has been pasted to another nephew whom plays with it as well! A great gift to entertain a child!

We received this as a gift a couple years ago when our son was under 1 year I believe. He has enjoyed the music and pushing the buttons and when he got older he was able to push the top to make it spin. It's too hard to push for a baby, but maybe a 18mo+ could do it. I would usually do it for him to entertain him. I am just now getting rid of this toy at a consigment sale and it's in very good condition. Durable and holds batteries. Not sure if I ever even changed them! Son is almost 3 now.
